Join Cultured Forest at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for a small group Forest Bathing event in Austin, Texas. Learn about the history of Shinrin-Yoku or “Forest Bathing” while mindfully observing the native gardens and local trees in one of our favorite botanical gardens in Central Texas. We will guide you through nature inspired meditation and highlight several calming spaces within the Center for your enjoyment and well-being.
You will enjoy community with like-minded nature appreciators, while finding peace by engaging your senses in your surroundings. The session will include a tea tasting. You can then wander the many trails within the park at your leisure using the mindfulness skills you have learned to enhance your nature connection experience.
The University of Texas at Austin Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is the Botanic Garden of Texas. The Center promotes its mission to inspire the conservation of native plants through its internationally recognized sustainable gardens, education and outreach programs, and research projects.
This event will require about 1/2 mile of walking over easy trails. Closed toe, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. We will be in shaded areas, but also recommend dressing for the elements and bringing water to drink.
The cost for the program is $45 and a portion of proceeds will go to supporting the mission of The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
