Join us for an event exploring the recent research on how time spent outdoors mindfully connecting with nature changes your brain and improves mood. Learn simple nature connection and creative activities you can do outside to help calm your mind and overcome Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) also known as "Winter Blues". We'll talk about the science behind Forest Therapy while also learning about fun ways to connect with nature both outside and in your home including nature photography, journaling, sketching, nature meditation and aromatherapy. We'll teach you some easy tips and tricks to help get you through these long winter days and also introduce you to the right gear to keep you warm as you adventure outside. This event is free of charge, but donations to the American Forests are also welcome upon registration.
