Join Cultured Forest for two hours of guided Forest Bathing in Catalina State Park in Tucson, AZ. Forest Bathing is based on a Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku that involves connecting with nature by “Bathing in the Forest Atmosphere”. Studies show time in nature lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity and reduces stress. In this activity, you will indulge with fellow nature lovers in relaxing mindfulness and self-care in a guided outdoor class. Plan to see some of the most natural settings of the park, while learning activities that allow you to better connect with yourself and the outdoors. Leave feeling centered, connected and more at peace. This experience was recently recommended in the Vogue "Experience Gift Giving Guide" and mentioned in Wall Street Journal Magazine. We are excited to end this session with a tea ceremony in the Japanese Forest Therapy tradition. Attendees must be 8 years or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This will require about 1-2 miles of hiking with some stairs and walking up and down steep inclines and over rocks. The cost is $30
We will meet in the last parking lot in the park entrance past the Romero and Hohokam ruins near the entrance to the Sutherland Trail. Click here for details on Catalina State Park.
