Remote Forest Bathing From Your Local Park

Join Cultured Forest for Remote Guided Forest Bathing From Your Local Park. Simply choose a park, nature trail, botanical garden or even your back yard to dial in from via phone. This session will be led by the company's founder Brooke Mellen who you might have seen mentioned in WSJ and Vogue.

We will briefly touch on the history of Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku as it is called in Japan, and then provide walking meditations and prompts to help you engage in your environment using your senses. You will wander slowly in a space for an hour observing your surroundings to find mindfulness.

Tips on choosing a location:

  • Easy, less challenging paths are better for practicing Shinrin-Yoku

  • If going alone, make sure you tell somewhere where you are going and choose a location that is well populated for safety

  • Parks and Botanical Gardens are ideal because you can wander slowly without getting in anyone’s way and they likely have better reception

What to Bring and Wear:

  • Bring water, snacks, medication, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable shoes, first aid supplies, sun glasses and a sense of wonder.

This event will be held via Google Meet. A link for dial in will be sent to you upon registration via the button below.

The cost is $10.
